From lobster to lighthouses, Maine has all the makings of an ideal escape.

As the most north-eastern state in the USA, Maine is known for its diversity and unique natural setting. From dense woods to vibrant cities, snow-capped peaks, pristine coastline and an untamed wilderness, Maine delivers a true New England experience to all who visit.

Firstly, the food. You can’t leave without sampling the state’s signature dish – lobster. It’s no surprise given Maine’s second biggest attraction is the water. Sailing is a popular pastime in Casco Bay, while the inland rivers and streams throughout the state offer up great fishing.

Maine is also a top destination for hiking, camping and climbing, with moose to be spotted amongst the woods.
