Only 1.5 hours drive from the airport on the east coast of Bali is the village called Candidasa, consisting of about 60 shops and restaurants...and of course, timeshare resorts Bali Palms Resort, Bali Seascape Beach Club & Rama Holidays @ Rama Candidasa Resort.

It’s very laid back, a great area to escape the bustling tourist areas. (If you are looking for wild night life this is not the place to stay.)

It’s known for it’s snorkelling, submarine tours, fishing and scuba diving. I can recommend Vincent’s Restaurant in town for delicious food.

You can visit the Ujung Water Palace where the former king spent summer in the Karangasem Regency. Whilst in front of the timeshare resorts the beach is fairly rocky within a short drive there are white sand beaches.
