Great Outdoors

Join local walkers and runners on The Tan, a 3.8km loop in the Botanic Gardens that serves up stunning views of the Yarra River. For beach time, skip the crowds at St Kilda and take the family to Altona Beach in the western suburbs – a safe, sandy stretch for all the family to enjoy swimming, water sports and pristine white sand. If you’re chasing something truly unique, jump in the car and take a 90-minute drive to the otherworldly Warburton Redwood Forest. Home to 1,500 trees towering up to 55 metres into the sky, there’s nothing quite like it.
