Resort overview

Sweetwater at Lake Conroe is right on the beautiful 22,000-acre lake and has several nearby marinas from which to choose.  The lake offers excellent fishing, sailing, waterskiing, and much more.  There are 27 holes of golf on-site and about a dozen more courses in the area.  If you like swimming, you can enjoy one of four outdoor pools.  Afterward, take a relaxing dip in the hot tub.  Tennis buffs can choose from 18 courts.  There's also a children's pool and fitness center.
The Lake Conroe area, located just north of Houston, offers a beautiful mix of nature, history, the arts, and recreational activities.  You can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping, horseback riding, and bird watching in the 161,508-acre Sam Houston National Forest or the W. Goodrich Jones State Forest.  You can find excellent dining options, great outlet center shopping, and antique stores in the historic downtown area.  Visitors can also explore the Crighton Theatre and NASA (about two hours away by car) and numerous museums, festivals, and rodeos.
