Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and only three miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Alpine Village Resort offers tranquil, secluded surroundings with spectacular mountain views in Burnsville, North Carolina.
The rooms at the resort are one and two-bedroom cabins with full kitchens. There are also gas grills barbecue, as well as a fireplace and private deck. Some rooms have washers and dryers, or there are laundry facilities in the clubhouse. One- and two-bedroom cabins sleep four or six guests. Swiss I is a typical two-bedroom, two-bath cabin. Beautiful and spacious, this 1300 square foot chalet overlooks the northern mountain range. The master bedroom, on the main level, has a king bed with a full bath. The living area has a queen sleeper sofa, two chairs, ottoman, wood-burning fireplace for those cool mountain nights and a dining area. Upstairs is the second bedroom with two twin beds and a full bathroom. The Chalet is supplied with all linens and a fully equipped kitchen - just bring your groceries!
At 3,250 feet in elevation, the resort offers natural beauty that can be explored in nearby Pisgah National Forest either on foot, mountain bike, or on horseback. The Mt. Mitchell Golf Course is also about two miles away, and no visit to the area is complete without visiting the Biltmore House and Gardens, a 11,000-acre estate built by George W. Vanderbilt. Visitors will enjoy Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Blowing Rock, Mt. Mitchell, Chimney Rock, Boone, Banner Elk, as well as many other popular destinations.
