Are you looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation in the Florida Keys? Enjoy the quiet island atmosphere at The Reef at Marathon. This comfortable home away from home is situated right on the Gulf of Mexico. The condos feature two bedrooms, living and dining areas, fully equipped kitchen, full-size washer and dryer (so you don't have to pack as much) and a large storage area. There are also nice decks with views of the water and sunsets, but please note, there are no elevators. There are lots of free amenities on site: a heated pool with lots of seating, bicycles, tennis courts, basketball court, table tennis facilities, and barbecue grills. The private marina features free use of the canoes, paddle boats, kayaks and row boats. You might even see the manatees that hang out in the area. If you're coming for the fishing, the resort also has a bait freezer and a fish-cleaning station for your use. Some of the most popular fishing in the Florida Keys includes tarpon, bonefish, redfish, snook, sea trout, barracuda, shark, tuna, snapper, wahoo, billfish, kingfish and blue and white marlin. There are some top-notch fish and seafood restaurants, too! Save a day to cross the legendary Seven-Mile Bridge or head down to Key West to see how Hemingway lived and his favorite "watering holes." The Keys is a unique vacation destination and The Reef at Marathon is a great mid-point and base for your exploration.
