Located on historic Route 66 in sunny San Bernardino County, the charming and unspoiled Southern California town of Helendale is best known as home to the Silver Lakes resort community. It is surrounded by two man-made lakes that cover over 275 acres. Silver Lakes is especially appealing to golfers, who sharpen their swing on a 27-hole PGA-rated course. Visitors to the area enjoy easy access to Disneyland (just over two hours by car) and overnights in nearby Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
