Resort overview
With the Bartlett Mountains as a backdrop and a beautiful turn-of-the century, mission-style lodge, this picturesque Spanish-style resort recalls the rural California that Mark Twain found so endearing. All life here centers around Clear Lake, the largest freshwater lake within California's borders and offers great fishing. The area surrounding the lake begs to be hiked, biked and savored as a lifetime memory. The resort has outdoor pools for adults and children, an outdoor spa, game room, fitness center, pool table, children's play area, a library and a boat dock and launch. This picturesque area of California is known as the Switzerland of America. It is just 90 minutes east of the famous Napa Valley wineries where you can enjoy wine tasting at various wineries and learn about the fruits of the vine, then board the Napa Valley Wine Train for a scenic journey through the valley. Hot air balloon rides are popular for breathtaking views of the vineyards. Be sure to enjoy a soaring glider ride from Middletown or San Francisco, within a 3.5-hour drive from the resort, and California's Old Faithful Geyser and the Petrified Forest are about an hour from the resort.
