With more than 350 days of sunshine per year and warm, mild winters, guests of the Wyndham Indio Resort can enjoy guided desert hiking and horseback riding in the canyons that surround the Coachella Valley. Resort visitors can also check out Knott's Soak City U.S.A., Palm Springs' only water park, or take a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for a 2½-mile ascent aboard the world's largest rotating tramcar up to a pristine mountaintop wilderness. Also, more than two hundred golf courses blanket the area, making it one of the world's premier golf destinations. The area is also home to several casinos run by local Native American tribes.
