WorldMark Bison Ranch
Resort overview
Once you pass the larger-than-life bucking bronco statues at the Bison Ranch Resort's entrance, you'll know you're in for some good, old-fashioned, 'Wild West' fun. With 160 pristine acres of high desert and surrounding forest, this beautiful retreat truly captures the essence of the relaxed western lifestyle. The property features an outdoor pool and spa, children's pool, fitness center, tennis court, playground, game room, and fully stocked, catch-and-release pond. At the heart of the resort, Bison Town replicates the "Wild West" of the 1890s, complete with wood-planked sidewalks, Old West building facades, shops, a coffee house, saloon, restaurant, and ice cream shop. This pedestrian "downtown" area serves as a community gathering place and venue for entertainment and special events. Visitors can also easily enjoy the shops and restaurants of The Rim's nearby towns.
The Mogollon Rim, which marks the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau in Arizona, is an escarpment of more than 7,000 feet, covered in forest and grassland. Here you will find the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the United States. With wonderfully cool, dry weather, awesome mountain views, and the unmistakable smells of Pine, Juniper, and Oak in the air, Rim Country presents an ideal vacation atmosphere. Around the towns of Rim Country, you'll find picturesque Tonto, Coconino, and Apache Sitgreaves National Forests. The area offers fishing, horseback riding, golf, hiking, hunting, biking, and downhill skiing. The region is filled with historical sites, such as: the Kinishba Ruins, a 600-room ancestral Puebloan village that dates back to 1250 A.D., the stunning Petrified National Forest Park, the ancient pictographs of Black Canyon Rock Shelter, and more. This beautiful region, home to Native Americans and cowboys, offers a relaxing and fun vacation retreat for the whole family.
