Canal Boat At Blackwater Meadow
Resort overview
Canal Boat Club at Blackwater Meadow Marina is situated on the Llangollen Canal, one of Britain's most popular canals. There is twenty miles of lock free cruising through beautiful scenery, and the Pontcysyllt Aqueduct, which is considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways. The marina is situated within walking distance of Ellesmere, a picturesque market town. Some of the attractions of this idyllic town include a weekly market held at the Market Hall, several traditional pubs and restaurants and a good choice of shops and local amenities.
The narrowboats at Canal Boat Club At Blackwater Meadow Marina in Ellesmere, Shropshire really are well equipped with a four burner gas hob, grill, oven, television and cd player. If you decide to remain moored within the Marina, staff will link you into mains electricity. Please be aware that beds can often be smaller or narrower than at home.
Cruising is subject to guests accepting the compulsory tuition, which is only available on check-in days. In exceptional circumstances you may not be able to cruise if the Marina staff are not confident in your ability to use the Narrowboat. Minimum number of able bodied persons required is 2.
Your boat is designed, licensed and insured for either four or six berths, depending on its size and no more than that number may sleep on board. Luggage space is at a premium and we suggest that you bring as little as possible and folding canvas or nylon bags are best. Avoid bulky suitcases at all costs. Bring flat shoes, trainers and wellington boots if you can. Blackwater Meadow boats are not stationary, they are for travelling up and down the canal.
