The western inland of Turkey is a region of natural beauty, and the city of Kütahya offers visitors a glimpse into Turkey’s rich past. The Kütahya Museum has a fine collection of arts and cultural artifacts, and Kütahya's old neighborhoods display traditional Ottoman houses made of wood and stucco, as well as famous mosques, ancient ruins, a Byzantine castle, and the famous Sengül Hamamı bath. Less than an hour’s drive away, the ancient city of Aizanoi is home to the temple of Zeus, which is among the best preserved Roman ruins in Turkey.
