A car is necessary, especially in the summer. Sierra Nevada Sports Club is situated in Sierra Nevada, Europe's most southern ski resort in the province of Granada at an altitude of 6889 feet (2100 meters). One can drive down to Granada in 30 minutes to visit the famous cultural spots such as the Alhambra Palace, Generalife Gardens, the Cathedral where the tombs of the Catholic Kings lay, or just walk around the city where one will find a variety of shops and typical Spanish tapa bars.
