









Right in spectacular False Bay, The Strand Pavilion is a definite cut above the rest. This is the only resort in South Africa that is built on the beach and that extends twenty-five meters out over the waves. Any closer to the ocean and you'd be in it!
The beautiful setting of the Golden Beach on either side frames your location. All units have full or partial sea views and floor to ceiling windows take full advantage of the surrounding mountain and seascapes. Keep a weather eye out for passing pods of Southern Right Whales. Expect to find all the convenience of home with a microwave, stove (with oven), family-sized refrigerator, all linen and towels, and kitchenware included. Even beach towels are provided at reception.
Soak up the incredible vista from beside a sparkling outdoor splash pool in summer. Regardless of the season and no matter what the weather, there's no reason to stay out of the water. If the clouds roll in, just tumble into the municipal indoor swimming pool adjacent to the Resort! Take advantage of a multitude of exciting activities, including horse riding, beach or deep-sea fishing, windsurfing, kite surfing, scuba diving, abseiling and rock climbing. Take a short scenic drive to sample the delectable produce of one of the many nearby wineries. Your hosts will gladly arrange to look after your youngsters.

Please note: Due to an increase in complaints regarding cigarette smoke permeating into units of non-smokers from the balcony areas or previous guest breaking rules and smoking inside the unit. The resort has come to the decision that as of 26 May 2023, the resort will become Strictly No Smoking resort. Guests will no longer be able to smoke on the balconies of their units. There are designated smoking areas: smoking room and open area on the pool deck and the back car parking area.
Please note, the resort need to carry out essential preventative maintenance on the section of the building that is located within the sea, just above the wave line. Due to tidal, weather, and sea conditions, it is most suitable for this work to be undertaken as early in the year as possible. It has been confirmed that spalling work will commence on Monday, 16 February 2026. This process requires the use of jackhammers to expose rebar and will therefore be noisy. To minimise disruption, the resort have arranged (weather and tide permitting) for noisy work to take place only between 09h30 and 12h30 on weekdays. Please note that these times may need to change should conditions require it. As the work is entirely dependent on weather, tide, and wind conditions, the estimated duration of the maintenance is approximately 10 weeks.
