Resort overview
Kloppenheim Country Estate is the ideal country retreat for business and leisure in the heart of the Highlands Meander, near Machadodorp and Dullstroom, and just two hours from OR Tambo International Airport.
There are ten elegant two-bedroom self-contained lodges. Each beautifully appointed room has a magnificent view of the rolling hills. The self-contained lodges each sleep four people. Each unit has two bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. The second bathroom has a shower, toilet and vanity. For the extra people, the unit has two sleeper couches. The kitchen is open plan, looking onto a dining area and lounge. Each cottage has a spectacular view overlooking the Highlands Meander.
There are three stylish conference rooms, a large theatre for events, a dining room, private dining room, breakfast terrace, colonial-style lounge, library, pub and restaurant, and a wellness centre. The energetic can enjoy six trout dams, hiking trails, archery and swimming. The Highlands of Mpulmalanga are a playground for nature and adventure lovers. Dubbed a "Trout Mecca," the highlands are overflowing with pristine rivers that lure fly fishermen in from all over the world. Other adventure activities include hiking, paragliding and exciting canopy tours.
Kloppenheim will spoil you with culinary delights from sumptuous breakfasts served in the enclosed terrace to four-course dinners served in The Three Twigs, 60 seater dining room - or private function room for something more intimate. Light meals are available in the Teddy and Tankard pub.
