Glenmore Sands
Resort overview
You'll find Glenmore Sands resort just north of Port Edward, KwaZulu-Natal, overlooking the broad swathe of Glenmore Beach. This stretch of unspoiled coastline, with its golden sandy beaches and clear Indian Ocean, is called 'The Wild Coast', a gorgeous tapestry of open grassland and hill country, with deep ravines and deep tidal estuaries cloaked on either bank with rich, virgin forest. Breathtaking!
The comfortable, well-appointed units are self-catering and make the ideal base camp for your sun-kissed adventure. There's no hurry either; you can relax by the pool or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautifully maintained gardens that surround you. You might even spot an elusive dassie or rock badger!
The entire area is as rich in activities as it is in wildlife. Go bird watching, fishing for king mackerel off the rocks at the Pulpit, hiking through stunning scenery at Umtamvana Nature Reserve, or scuba diving in crystal clear waters. Riverbend Crocodile Farm is amazing and the spectacular Oribi Gorge is a must-see. You can grab some take-aways on your way back, to eat while gazing at the gorgeous view.
It's no wonder Glenmore Sands is a favourite.
