Palm Park Resort is just a hop, skip and a jump away from a beautiful golden-sand beach and warm Indian Ocean. Even better, though it's nestled in the heart of the picturesque seaside town of Margate, it offers an oasis of peace and quiet amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The spacious and comfortable self-catering apartments are within easy walking distance of all that Margate has to offer, including great restaurants, superb cafés and enough shops to keep even hardened retail addicts happy. Grab a board and head across to the beach for a little surf action, a swim or simply to spread out your towel and soak up the sun. Canoeing, boardsailing and water skiing are all on offer too! The scuba diving and snorkelling at Protea Banks is brilliant. Not only is it teeming with a stunning variety of game fish and sharks, but deep caves are waiting to be explored too. It's an awesome must-do! Other fantastic diving sites include Deep Salmon and the Adda, Bo Boyi and Potato Reefs. A stroll along the palm-fringed beach could well reward you with the sight of a whale breaching close to shore, or a pod of dolphins frolicking in the shallows. The fishing is superb and well worth having a go - you never know, you might catch something to throw on the braai. Social evenings around the fire are also a big hit, along with the excitement of the Wild Coast Sun, a scenic 40 km away.
