Cabana Beach Resort, in the exclusive enclave of Umhlanga Rocks to the north of Durban, has provided generations of vacationers with an incredible African seaside holiday. And don't worry, Umhlanga (pronounced oom-shlun-ga) is easier to enjoy than it is pronounce!
The Resort 's easy-going design captures the feel of a Mediterranean village. Enjoy magnificent views of the Indian Ocean and stroll through gorgeous fragrant sub-tropical gardens. Picturesque whitewashed arches and cobblestoned pathways meander through three acres of sub-tropical parkland. There's a mouth-watering array of restaurants and inviting bars, not to mention an outstanding range of leisure activities. The resort is a whole world within itself, offering a constantly changing activities program and facilities covering everything from a comfy lounge for adults to special sitting services for baby. There are bars, barbecues, beaches and boating, in addition to a long list of wonderful things that don't start with a "b" - like a kids' game room, a children's play area, a gym, sauna and full tennis courts. You'll even find a grocery store and a hairdresser onsite.

During week 48 (29 November - 06 December) the resort experiences the flocking of teenagers to Umhlanga and Ballito to enjoy the year end celebrations over this period. As a result of the change in demographic over this time period, with the expectation that a large majority of the guests will be school leavers, the normal entertainment program will be adjusted accordingly. Please note that the resort is a strictly non-smoking resort. This includes the use of e-cigarettes, vapes, and hubbly bubbly (hookah/shisha), which are not permitted anywhere on the property.
