The beautiful rustic wooden chalets of Mtunzini Forest Lodge are, as the name implies, each tucked away in the trees and contain all the comforts of home, including a private sundeck and braai area. You'll be surrounded by the warmth of real timber, reflecting the beauty of the surrounding forest.
When not enjoying your privacy, there's a games room with arcade games, a pool table and a TV next to the lapa and conveniently close to an excellent restaurant. The beaches are easily accessible via a magnificent wooden bridge that crosses the Siyayi River. Soak in the serene atmosphere while fishing from the shores, or wander along the network of trails created especially so you can experience the unique, natural charms of the area. Refresh after a trip to the beach by taking a dip in the large swimming pool, while the kiddies enjoy a romp in the paddling pool. Play golf, tennis and squash at the Country Club, bowling at the Bowling Club and go riding at the Mtunzini Stables.
For a tour with a difference, take a barge trip down the Umlazi River feasting off a traditional South African braai (barbecue) as you float along.There are also a plethora of water sports, like water skiing, ski-fishing and paddling, depending upon the weather.
