The Beacon Island Resort is in the vibrant holiday town of Plettenberg Bay, right in the middle of South Africa's beautiful Garden Route. Set on a rocky promontory at the end of a small peninsula, this iconic Hotel has become an internationally renowned landmark.
Its location is both unique and spectacular. Scenic cliffs drop into the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and you feel like you're on an island surrounded by breathtaking views of forests, beaches and mountains. Keep a languid eye out for passing pods of dolphins' while lazing in the sun or whales from the comfort of your own room. If you prefer your whale watching with a tall frosted glass of your favourite drop in hand, the Sea Lounge and Playa Bar is the favoured place to be during whale season, or any other day. Imagine sipping a cocktail suspended over the Indian Ocean, with whales and dolphins breaching less than 30 meters away!

“Matric Rage” is expected to return to their usual numbers and location. This year’s peak week for such will fall in week 48 (29 November to 06 December). As a result of a change in demographic over this time period, with the expectation that a large majority of the guests will be school leavers, the normal entertainment program will be adjusted accordingly. The Resort is a strictly non-smoking resort. This includes the use of e-cigarettes, vapes, and hubbly bubbly (hookah/shisha), which are not permitted anywhere on the property.
