Brackenhaugh Cottage in Lethen is next door to the owners property. It is a charming, traditional, fully equipped, stone built Highland Cottage renovated to a high standard. This two bedroom property accommodates four guests.
Accommodation: Open plan lounge/kitchen, complete with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, 32" flat screen television, dvd player, radio with ipod docking and a feature wood burning stove with logs provided. Doors from the lounge lead to the conservatory with a dining and seating area, from here you can enjoy the open views to the surrounding countryside. Also downstairs there is a shower room, with a large corner shower. Upstairs the property has two bedrooms, a double and a small twin room with ensuite w/basin and toilet. The property has oak wooden flooring throughout and convector heating ensuring a warm and comfortable stay.
From either the lounge or the conservatory access can be obtained to the garden area, ideal for relaxing in after a day exploring. Garden furniture is also provided and there is parking for two cars.
Brackenhaugh in Lethen, near Nairn, in the Highland region of Scotland is situated in a peaceful country setting overlooking fields and woods, six miles from the seaside town of Nairn on the Moray Firth.
Nairn has fine sandy beaches, championship golf courses and is close to a number of tourist attractions including Cawdor and Brodie Castles, Fort George and Culloden Battlefield. Both Inverness and the Cairngorm National Park are within a half hour drive of the property.
The city of Inverness has a good range of cafes, bars and restaurants and a number of historic buildings. It boasts a good art gallery/museum and has a vibrant music and arts scene including a first class theatre at Eden Court. The River Ness winds its way through the city with good walking along its banks amd much to see on the nearby Caledonian Canal.
Further afield other places of interest include Speyside, home to the Malt Whisky industry and Cairngorm National Park. A car is essential at this property to explore the area.
