The holiday apartments at Oestersoe Faergegaard in Denmark are situated in Kalvehave in southern Zealand, near the island of Moen. The wonderful capital city of Copenhagen is about a 75 min drive from the Resort. Castles, museums, quaint villages, beaches and a safari park are within easy reach. Denmark is almost totally surrounded by water, consisting of the Jutland Peninsula and a great many island many connected to each other with bridges, causeways and numerous ferry crossings. Its only land border is with Germany. Denmark boasts small green farms, blue lakes and white coastal beaches, the rural areas are sprinkled with thatched cottages, castles, ancient churches and windmills dotted across a gentle landscape with excellent rural roads perfect for cycling. The cities are modern and bustling, with an air of medieval charm preserved in old sections with colourful buildings and cobblestone streets. The country boasts 280 museums, most of the important ones in Copenhagen, as well as the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde that is devoted to honouring Denmark's ancient mariners. Other special attractions include the annual summer music festival in Roskilde, which is one of the largest in Europe; the Tivoli Gardens Amusement Park which has entertained crowds in Copenhagen since 1843; and one of the world's longest bridges, which spans 10 miles (16km), joining Denmark to Sweden. Denmark is now well known for its fantastic culinary delights -famous for amazing seafood, fish, locally reared meat and dairy products. The lovely holiday apartments at Oestersoe Faergegaard in Denmark are in the Holiday Centre Oestersoe Faergegaard. The spacious and well appointed apartments include a dishwasher, radio, Satellite television and dvd player. They are built around and within a refurbished hotel, which is located by the harbour and marina. Some units have views of the sea and they are all furnished to a high standard and include a fully equipped kitchen. On site is a playground, swimming pool area with indoor swimming pool, sauna and solarium. There are billiard and table tennis facilities, a small library and laundry facilities. A dinghy can be made available upon request. A bar and restaurant operated under separate management is also located on site
