Area activities: Four golf courses, Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima and Colina Verde can be found close by.  Tavira's main beach is accessible by ferry, as is the island of Ilha de Tavira. Other beaches to be found nearby include Cabanas and Conceicao and the Ria Formosa National Park is worth a visit. Tavira is a lovely historic city and well worth exploring. A car is essential to fully appreciate all this area has to offer.
