Here, steep and narrow streets reveal grand, ancient houses with traditional two slope roofs. Nearby, explore Checta, featuring 450 rock engravings of animals, astral maps and more, about 1,500 years old. The neighboring town of Santa Rosa de Quives features pre-Inca archaeological remains and a cluster of blue lagoons, ideal for hikes and horseback rides.
