Mt Hutt Lodge is set in the Rakaia Gorge, within an hour's drive from Christchurch and 16 km from the town of Methven. The resort is built on a hill, set in a tranquil rural environment. The resort is a center for outdoor activities such as trout and salmon fishing, tramping, golf, and skiing.
The resort is located a 30 minute drive from Springfield Station, where you can catch the Transalpine Express, one of the world's great railway journeys.
