Welcome to Africa's best-kept secret - the Archipelago Resort in Southern Mozambique! Eighteen beautiful beachside Indonesian-style casas - all with exquisite views of the Indian Ocean - are scattered under shady trees on one of the most beautiful and unspoiled coastlines in the world. 

Although the casas are all self-catering, with fully-equipped kitchens and a handy dining room, many still choose to come to the resort restaurant for its delectably-fresh fish, calamari and prawns, fresh from the sea. Of course, you'll find piri-piri chicken and hearty hamburgers on the menu, too. Sound good, but you want to stay in? Meals can even be delivered to your casa. 

Near the bar and restaurant, set in lush gardens on a deck with a magnificent sea view, you'll find braai facilities and a large crystal pool. Sample the excellent ice-cold local beer as you munch on cashew nuts or tempura prawns. Relax in the shade as the little ones collect shells and chase crabs on the child-friendly beach. Watch the local fishermen bring in their daily catch. Or canter through the waves on horseback. Further afield, you can enjoy a thrilling day out deep-sea fishing, take a trip back in time on a traditional dhow or visit the idyllic untouched Islands off shore. Slide down the biggest natural sea dune in the world, chip around the 9-hole course in the shade of indigenous trees and watch as humpback qhales and whale sharks swim around your boat.
