Resort overview
The Universo Residence is situated in the centre of Pre St Didier in the Aosta Valley at 1000 meters above sea level, at the foot of Mont Blanc. The famous village of Courmayeur and its ski area are only 4 km away and in winter can be reached by a free ski bus service. The Residence is at the crossroads between Courmayeur and the ever improving ski resort of La Thuile, 8 km away, serviced by a free ski navette. Pré Saint Didier is both famous for it's altitude and its mild, dry climate. But above all for its hot water springs which are recognized since ancient times for their therapeutic curing of skin ailments. For years this was a privileged destination for vacationers of all ages. The area boasts breath-taking scenery that accompanies skiers along thrilling descents and fabulous itineraries: the Mont Blanc, the giant's Tooth, les Grandes Yorasses, the Aiguilles Vertes, the "Mont Blanc du Tacul.". In total there are Fourteen peaks over 4000 metres high that frame the panoramic Vallée Blanche's descent, the most spectacular in the Alps.
