Resort overview
The property is completely fenced with an area of 18 hectares, with comfortable cottages in the woods, suitable for stays any time of the year. All brick apartments are located on the ground floor and have four different styles that can accommodate 4 or 5 people. Some apartment types have interlinking doors suitable for larger family groups. The paths between the apartments are closed to traffic, to promote peace and tranquillity for guests and the opportunity for children to play safely. All the units are furnished in a modern functional style. Every unit has an open plan kitchenette, living, dinning area with 2 pull out beds with and an outside dining area. The apartments have a telephone, satellite television and heating.There are various restauarnts and bars in the complex and the private beach is about 700 m away. Beach Shuttle bus operate June - September The complex has Olypic size swimming pools, fun pools with slides and paddling pools for children. Other sporting facilities include 1 tennis court (with illumination) 1 soccer field with synthetic grass 1 basketball court with synthetic grass 1 beach volley / beach tennis field 2 soccer grounds in sand Bike rental (from Easter till September) Horse riding surfing and kite surfing are also available. The mild climate and the many interesting places locally make the Villaggio Orizzonte a year round Resort. A good starting point to visit various important archaeological sites, parks and the beautiful cities of Florence, Pisa & Rome. The area and the surrounding villages are rich in culture and tradition. Medieval villages such as Suvereto, Bolgheri, Populonia and Massa Marittima are interesting places to learn about the history of Etruscan society and enjoy unforgettable views. The beautiful natural parks of Sterpaia and the Maremma and the archaeological sites of Baratti and Populonia are in the immediate vicinity of the Resort. Also recommended are excursions to the beautiful islands of the archipelago: Elba, Giglio & Capraia, or a visit to the island of Pianosa, with its prison, catacombs.
