Villaggio La Cecinella in Cecina Mare, Tuscany, Italy is a new village resort situated only 800 metres from the sea. There are 156 apartments, studios, two and three room apartments all with air conditioning, satellite television and telephone.
Each villa has four ground floor units with veranda. Each two room apartment in the Villette units have a kitchen area, living room, bathroom with shower and one bedroom, the three room apartments have an additional bedroom with two single beds. The two room units in Villetta can accommodate up to five guests, the three room units up to six guests.
In the main building there are one room apartments and double room apartments, all equipped with a kitchen, living room with sofa, a bathroom with shower and a balcony. The two room apartments have one more bedroom and can accommodate up to six guests, the one room apartments accommodate four guests.
Extensive on site facilities include a Reception, Restaurant, Mini Market, Shops, Semi-Olympic Size Swimming Pool (25 x 12 metres, Tennis Courts, Football Pitch, Archery in the summer months, Beach Volleyball, Beach Tennis, Table Tennis, Bowls, Mini Bus to Beach, Mini Club in summer months, Cycle Hire, Motorbike Hire, Laundry, Wellness Centre with Massages, Hydro Therapeutic Shower, Sauna, Chroma Therapeutic & Aroma Therapeutic Showers, Relaxation Room, Heated Hydro Massage Pool & Tisane Tea Bar.
Villaggio La Cecinella in Cecina Mare, Italy is in an idyllic location with a road leading through pine woods to the beach. The road leading from the village to the sea crosses a centuries old pine wood with signposted paths and picnic areas, ideal for horse riding.
Apart from the nearby beach, the famous white beaches of Vada or the rocky shoreline of Castiglioncello are well worth a visit. There is also a large water park nearby.
The Resort is an ideal base for discovering the many delights of Tuscany including Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Siena, the Etruscan and Roman vestiges in the nearby towns of Volterra, the Etruscan Guarnacci museum and Roman theatre. Or visit the spa resorts of Caldana, Casciana, Montecatini, San Giuliano, Saturnia, all easily reachable in a days drive.
Weekly markets are held on Tuesday in Cecina, Sunday at Cecina Mare, Monday at Rosignano-Solvay and Saturday at San Vincenzo; Every last Sunday of the month takes place a market named Mercatino dell'Antiquariato in Cecina. There is also an annual beetles rally as well as the carnival Targa Cecina and, in October, the wine festival in Montescudaio.
