Style of property: Built in the 1840s, these restored barns were once part of the impressive Knockabbey Castle Estate. The charming buildings with their original stone walls, brick arches and wooden beams evoke a true feeling of times past. At the same time visitors can still enjoy the comfort of modern conveniences. The properties have been awarded Irish Tourist Board 3 stars.
Furnishings & decorations: Wooden floors and tiles combined with comfortable pine furniture and a fitted kitchen. Tastefully finished with pictures, patchwork and plants.
Outlook & views: Nestled in a private site with stone barns to the rear and trees to the front.
Principle rooms: Living room. Kitchen/dining room with suite of furniture, dining table, chairs and a well equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds. Shower room with toilet, sink and electric shower.
Outside living areas: To the front is a stoned area, which has shared outdoor furniture. Beyond this is a cluster of trees through which visitors are free to stroll. Shared parking is also to the front.
