L'esprit Foret in Brittany, France is a beautiful detached Art Deco style house on the outskirts of a charming village. This two bedroom, fully equipped property is able to accommodate up to four guests.
Accommodation: Four reception rooms including two sitting rooms, one with entertainment systems. A formal dining room and fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, hob, cooking utensils and a microwave. In the cellar there is a washing machine, tumble dryer and iron. Downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are two twin bedrooms. Duvets & pillows are provided. The bathroom has a corner whirlpool bath, hand basin and walk-in shower.
The gardens are enclosed with a pretty courtyard area with garden furniture, a produce area, play area and lawns.
L'esprit Foret is located near Josselin, Brittany, France at the edge of a beautiful village, next to the largest private forest in Brittany. Guests will be woken by the dawn chorus and church bells. The back garden backs onto a designated cycle path and a Breton Fontaine which is subject of an annual Pardon.
Josselin, is a charming medieval city, only a few kilometers and the nearest large town. Market day is on a Saturday in Josselin, with a market most days of the week somewhere nearby, where you can purchase fresh oysters or cheeses or simply chill out in one of the cafe bars and watch the world go by.
Nearby the chateau of the Rohans is one of the most impressive castles in Brittany. The stables now host a famous Doll museum. The chateau has belonged to the Rohan family since the 15th Century. The Basilica of Notre Dame du roncier dates back to the 11th Century but has been rebuilt many times. The beautiful Lac Au Duc has a sandy beach, watersports centre and great walks around the lake. There is also a golf course and spa hotel on the lake.
The property is ideally suited to tour Brittany with the beaches of the south coast easily accessible. The property makes an ideal base from which to enjoy a number of activities including horse riding, cycling, swimming, shopping or simply reading and relaxing, eating or drinking. A nearby village offers a heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool and a lake can be found just a ten minute drive from the property.
