The fully equipped boats at Canal Boat Club At Hilperton Marina in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, are purpose built in the North East of England. Narrowboats are built for the special purpose of cruising the inland canal waterways of Britain, they are narrow, tight, long and heavy. Please be aware that beds can often be smaller or narrower than at home.
Accommodation includes: Galley with cooker, refrigerator, microwave, sink and all items you will need to cater on board. A comfortable double berth on both sizes of boats and, on the sleeps six, two single berths. A bathroom with toilet, shower and washbasin on both boats and an extra toilet on the six berth boats. A dinette for eating and relaxing during the day, which also makes up to a double berth, if required, at night. Other equipment includes a Television, DVD Player, Radio and CD Player. The boats also have central heating and a 240 volt electricity supply.
Cruising is subject to guests accepting the compulsory tuition, which is only available on check-in days. In exceptional circumstances you may not be able to cruise if the Marina staff are not confident in your ability to use the Narrowboat. Minimum number of able bodied persons required is 2.
Parking is available for one car per booking, additional parking spaces may be available. Guests are advised to bring wet weather clothing. The club does not guarantee that cruising will be possible since weather conditions; infrastructure repairs or unseen events may impose restrictions over which we have no control. Compensation for loss of cruising time will not be available under any circumstances.
Two dogs per boat are allowed at this Marina, an extra charge per dog is made upon arrival. Guests MUST contact the office at least 24 hours in advance to confirm their time of arrival and number of guests in party. For additional information, please do visit www.canalboatclub.com
Canal Boat Club At Hilperton Marina is well located on the fabulous Kennet and Avon Canal, often considered one of the very best for wildlife and natural beauty. Within just a days cruising discover the stunning and unique city of Bath and its world famous Brine Baths, now a World Heritage site. To the east of the Marina is the spectacular Caen Hill flight of locks.
There are a number of supermarkets within a couple of miles of the Marina in the town of Trowbridge. There is a shop and chandlery at the Marina.
