Seascape in Tweedmouth, Northumberland is a charming property, believed to have been constructed for a retired mariner for him to observe the comings and goings of the seagoing vessels visiting the town. This one bedroom property is able to accommodate up to four guests.
The house is spread over three floors with a spacious kitchen/parlour complete with inglenook fireplace on the ground floor. The deep bay window in this room also houses a double futon, to enable the property to sleep four if necessary. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dining area, TV, washing machine, tumble drier, fridge/freezer, microwave, induction hob and oven. The first floor sitting room has a deep bay window encompassing a seating area, which gives open views over the harbour and river estuary. The sitting room has a television, which receives freesat, a music centre, a blue ray player which facilitates smart TV functionality. Free broadband is provided. There is a second floor double bedroom with spectacular views and a bathroom with an over the bath shower. The bedroom has a TV and DVD player.
Seascape in Northumberland is a quaint old town house, one of the properties forming part of the conservation area in Tweedmouth. The property is ideally situated facing the ancient ramparts of Berwick across the River Tweed. The area is linked to the town by way of the lovely old stone bridge constructed in 1603 and is only a five minute walk from the restaurant area of the town. Tweedmouth has shops and hot food takeaways within two minutes walk of the property and a seafood restaurant about five minutes walk.
This property is very conveniently placed for touring the surrounding area, The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle, The Northumbrian Coast and the Scottish Borders all being a short drive away. Further afield, Hadrian's Wall and Durham Castle and Cathedral are World Heritage Sites, both are places of enormous significance in World History.
