The holiday cottages and holiday apartments at Sutton Hall Club in North Yorkshire are fully equipped with all the comforts you could wish for. The Hall is an 18th Century Manor House has been sympathetically adapted to provide eight apartments with a small indoor swimming pool and a Residents' Lounge. Six adjacent cottages provide further accommodation in the same traditional style. There are 24 acres of grounds which include gardens, woodland and meadowland with a stream running through, two all-weather tennis courts and a croquet lawn. Spacious and light, they accommodate four or six people, in one or two double bedrooms, and the lounge sofa, which will convert into a roomy double bed. Most have magnificent views of the grounds, and the acres of natural parkland beyond. Please note, some of the apartments at the Resort may not be suitable for guests with mobility problems. Sutton Hall is located in one of the most historic and picturesque areas in England, amidst glorious countryside in the charming village of Sutton-Under-Whitestonecliffe, four miles east of James Herriot's market town of Thirsk. The area is a paradise for lovers of nature, walking and other outdoor pursuits, but will also appeal to those who enjoy a touring holiday.
The village is on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park with their heather-clad hills, picturesque villages, rugged scenery and a steam railway. Nearby, the Yorkshire Dales offer a wonderful variety of hill and river landscapes. Seaside resorts, fishing villages and rugged coastlines are to be found at Scarborough, Bridlington, Robin Hood's Bay, Ravenscar and Staithes. Historic cities such as York and spectacular ruins such a Rievaulx Abbey are within easy reach.
