Groves Dyke Holiday Cottage near Sleights in North Yorkshire is a fully equipped, three bedroom, semi detached property to accommodate five guests.
Accommodation: Downstairs is a conservatory leading to a large entrance hall. A sitting room with a television, DVD player, reclining chair, double sofa bed and armchair. A shower room with wc and wash basin. Dining room. Fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher and iron. There is also a small larder with fridge-freezer. Three upstairs bedrooms, one double, one twin and one single. Bathroom with wc, wash basin and a large old-fashioned bath.
There is a laundry just outside, with washing machine and tumble dryer.
On site is a large, south facing garden reached via the conservatory and decking to the patio. A large table and five chairs are provided for the conservatory and decking, with another set on the patio. There is also a barbecue with a supply of locally produced charcoal. Parking for three cars is provided.
Groves Dyke Holiday Cottage is located in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, just three miles from the historic port of Whitby and the Heritage Coast, near the village of Sleights. Sleights boasts a butcher and delicatessen, a baker, a Spar store, a Post Office, a cafe and a good fish & chip shop. In Briggswath, even closer to Groves Dyke, there is the River Gardens, which are open mid-March to October, with a small garden centre, putting and a café.
Nearby towns and villages worth a visit include Whitby with its historic Abbey and bustling harbour, Robin Hoods Bay with its steep narrow streets and traditional fishermens’ cottages and Staithes, a traditional Yorkshire fishing village.
The North Yorkshire Moors National Park encompasses a spectacular coastline, breath-taking moorland, ancient woodland and many historical sites. Bordered on the east side by the North Sea coast, the north and west by the Cleveland Hills and the south by the Tabular Hills and the Vale of Pickering. With over 1,400 miles of paths and tracks to walk, bicycle or horse ride, the North York Moors National Park has something to offer all visitors.
