Braeside
Resort overview
Braeside is a three bedroomed traditional Dales cottage, which has been refurbished to a high standard, retaining its old pine doors, with oil fired central heating and double glazing throughout. It benefits from open views from the front garden over the village green, and most rooms face the west, enjoying the afternoon and evening sun. Braeside is able to accommodate eight guests in three bedrooms, and is located in Reeth, Swaledale in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Accommodation: On the ground floor is a comfortable lounge, overlooking the large village green, with two sofas, window seat, electric woodburning stove, Freesat television, vcr, dvd, books, and a telephone. The cosy dining room also overlooks the green, with a further traditional stove, and television/video and cd player.
The kitchen has a ceramic floor with a stable door overlooking a courtyard. It has modern beech cupboards, an electric cooker with two ovens and ceramic hob, fridge and dishwasher. Doors lead to a small utility room with microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and central heating boiler. The entrance porch provides space for boots and outdoor clothing, and there is further storage in the understairs cupboard in the dining room.
Upstairs at one end of the building is the main house bathroom with hand shower in the bath, toilet and washbasin together with the small twin room facing east over looking the fells. At the other end is a shower room with toilet, washbasin and shower cubicle, and the double bedroom with bunks overlooking the village green. In between is a double bedroom and landing window with window seat overlooking the rear courtyard and fells in the distance.
The private rear walled courtyard with garden furniture, is a quiet place to sit and enjoy the BBQ provided.
Braeside is located in the lovely village of Reeth, North Yorkshire overlooking the picturesque village green.
In Reeth there are three public houses, all serving meals, shops/cafés, an ice-cream parlour, various shops and a Craft Centre. Richmond, which is approximately ten miles away, is a very pretty market town with a castle to explore, as well as a larger array of shops, restaurants and takeaways, etc.
Reeth is the main village of Swaledale and a good starting point for walks along the river or high fells. Braeside makes an ideal base from which to explore the many delights the area has to offer, a car being essential at this property.
