Curlew Cottage is a lovely cottage converted from an 18th Century stone hay barn, offering superb accommodation for three guests. On the ground floor are the two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single bed and bathroom. On the first floor is the fully equipped kitchen and lounge.
The Cottage is tastefully furnished, giving that country feel with pine furnishings, latched pine doors, local crafts and soft print sofas. It has been designed with living accommodation on the first floor making the most of the great views. Whilst retaining character, the cottage is extremely well equipped with all modern conveniences. The Cottage has a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, hob, fridge with ice box, colour TV, DVD and a bathroom with bath and shower.
The property is well heated and insulated to ensure all year comfort. There are no hidden extra charges, the fully inclusive tariff includes oil central heating, electricity, linen, towels and tea towels.
The lovely cottage garden has garden furniture and barbeque area.
Curlew Cottage in Cumbria is situated in a beautiful panoramic position bordering the Lake District, the Eden Valley and the majestic Pennines, you could not ask for a better location from which to enjoy this most beautiful part of England.
Nearby are the market towns of Penrith, two miles and Keswick, as well as Derwent Water, Ullswater and Bassenthwaite. There is great walking and cycling with outdoor activity centres for those wanting to explore the countryside on quad bike or horseback.
Guests may also enjoy use of the leisure facilities at the exclusive four star North Lakes Hotel, situated two miles from the cottage at a tarrif of £10 per person per day. These include a lovely indoor swimming pool, a large gymnasium, squash courts, saunas, a steam room and hot spa.
