The boats at Canal Boat Club At Worcester Marina are fully equipped and include a Saloon, during the day it's a sitting room, dining room and play area, complete with a radio/cassette player, or a CD player and colour TV, (some with DVD Player) and at night some dinettes can be converted into a double bed. You'll also find plenty of lockers and hanging space. Pure filtered drinking water is supplied on all the boats, the 150 gallon tank will need to be topped up daily from water points along the canal. (These are frequent and clearly marked.) The galleys are large and fitted with a full size cooker and fridge. Toilets are very efficient and environmentally friendly, all fresh water flushing. There are spacious showers with lots of hot water. All boats have comfortable beds, with freshly laundered duvets and bedding. Each boat is fully equipped with everything you would expect to find in a high quality holiday cottage. From kettle to cheese grater and bedding to umbrella, each home comfort has been thought of in the comprehensive inventory. The boats are equipped with reliable, quiet, smooth running modern diesel engines. The controls on the boat are simple - start/stop, forward/reverse, left/right. A child could drive one of our boats - in fact, under supervision, they often do. Every one of the boats has on board a comprehensive manual and expert help is on hand around the clock with a 24-hour emergency helpline. If you have not been on a boat before, you are not alone - many guests each year are complete newcomers and each and every one masters the controls to enjoy their holiday. Cruising is subject to guests accepting the compulsory tuition, which is only available on check-in days. Minimum number of able bodied persons required is 2. You will find us at Lowesmoor Wharf off the Worcester and Birmingham canal in the heart of the city. Our marina is located in the City of Worcester, which provides easy access to the town centre's shopping and leisure facilities, M5 motorway, Shrub Hill and Foregate Street railway stations. One of the most popular one week cruises of all takes in the 21st century Birmingham city centre, 19th century heritage and some of the most rural stretches of canal imaginable along with the River Severn.
