Ironbridge is a unique holiday location which provides a wealth of interest for visitors of all ages and at all seasons of the year.
Locally, the award winning Ironbridge gorge museums are of course the highlight. These ten museums give a fascinating insight into the history of a Shropshire valley which in many ways laid the foundation for the modern world. For the children we recommend particularly Enginuity (where visitors are encouraged to exercise the imagination, play games, build bridges, generate electricity and discover how every day objects are designed) and the Blists Hill open air Victorian Village.
Other attractions always popular with our visitors include the Acton Scott victorian farm and the restored 18th century Hawkstone Park and Follies. For the children the favourites are the Severn Valley Steam Railway and the Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom.
