Style of property: The Bothy at Clun in Shropshire is a unique 18th Century Grade II listed small cottage. The Bothy is attached to historic Cresswell House in the centre of the charming ancient border village of Clun. This one bedroom property is able to accommodate two guests.
Furnishings & decorations: The Cottage has been skilfully restored, in a rustic style, with an abundance of original oak and stone.
Outlook & views: View of Shropshire hills across spacious lawned gardens leading down to the river.
Principle rooms: Open plan sitting room with inglenook fireplace; kitchen/dining area; gallery double bedroom; dressing area; bathroom. A cot and highchair are available for a small charge. Evening babysitting can usually be arranged at an additional cost.
Outside living areas: Private patio with shared use of lawned gardens leading down to the river (with fishing). Unfortunately, smoking is not permitted inside the Cottage and dogs cannot be accommodated.
Property Location: The Bothy is located in the South Shropshire village of Clun, in the centre of one of the undiscovered areas of natural beauty in Britain.
Distance from town: Central village location. Post office, food store, newsagent, craft shop, tea rooms, ironmongers, hairdresser, garage and two excellent pubs (both serving food) all within easy walking distance. The town of Ludlow is sixteen miles from the property
Area activities: Clun is an ideal touring, walking and cycling base for the area, which offers the visitor a wide variety of countryside, small picturesque market towns and villages, all set in a surprisingly hilly landscape. A car is essential to fully explore this lovely area of Shropshire.
