Our unique resort is set within 70 acres of beautiful parkland, overlooking the stunning vista of Rutland Water - the largest man-made area of surface water in the UK.
You will find plenty to do on-site; our resort has a pitch & putt green, a crazy golf course, gym, and squash court. We are making improvements to our swimming pool, which is currently closed while the refurbishment works take place. Four Roots, our new wellbeing space offering a curated, four-hour wellness experience is coming soon.
We are lucky enough to be positioned at the heart of Rutland, the UK’s smallest county. However, don’t be fooled, the geographical size of the locality does not reflect the enormous number of activities that are available within just a stone’s throw from our venue. Whether you’re looking for a quiet break away in the countryside, or a packed itinerary - it’s all here to be enjoyed.
Local attractions offer the chance to experience the grounds of the 11th century Belvoir Castle & Engine Yard, ancestral home to the Duke of Rutland for almost 1,000 years or visit the nearby historic market towns of Oakham & Uppingham. If you’re drawn to the water, you can enjoy a trip on the Rutland Belle, or indulge in some sailing, paddleboarding, fishing and more. Alternatively, discover nature on a walk or cycle around the waterside trails.

Please note that during the refurbishment phase, the gym, weekly classes, squash and crazy golf facilities will still be open and available for use as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience the refurbishments may cause, however, we are carrying out these works as part of our ongoing commitment and investment in Rutland Hall and our vision to continually enhance the guest experience and the vitality of our resort. The completed works will deliver a brand new dedicated Leisure reception area sited at the entrance of the swimming pool, along with spacious new changing facilities and the addition of a sauna & steam room.
