The narrowboats at Canal Boat Club At Gayton Marina in Northamptonshire are fully equipped and purpose built in the north east of England by local craftsmen who blend traditional skills with contemporary methods and modern materials. The results are vessels operated solely to fulfil the needs and satisfy the expectations of today's discerning timesharer. Your boat is designed, licensed and insured for either four or six berths, depending on its size and no more than that number may sleep on board. Whilst it is sometimes possible for additional people to be admitted to land-based timeshares it is not negotiable on a boat for legal and safety reasons. If you turn up at the marina with five people or more for a four berth or 7 people or more for a six berth you will not be allowed to occupy the boat. Children, of whatever age - including babies - count as part of this complement. Cruising is subject to guests accepting the compulsory tuition, which is only available on check-in days. In exceptional circumstances you may not be able to cruise if the Marina staff are not confident in your ability to use the Narrowboat. Minimum number of able bodied persons required is 2. A maximum of two dogs per boat are permitted at this Marina, an extra charge per dog is made upon arrival. Canal Boat Club At Gayton Marina in Northamptonshire is situated near the junction of the Grand Union canal and the arm that runs down to Northampton, Gayton base is only a few minutes drive from junction 15a on the M1 motorway. Gayton has always been very popular due to the very varied cruising on offer, eleven routes being available for guests to discover.

Also excluded is negligence, malicious or intentional damage to other boats and property and the late return of the boat and return of the boat in unclean condition. Utility fee: Covers gas, pumpout(s), water, and parking of a car for a 4 berth boat and two cars for a 6 berth boat etc. Only one fee payable per holiday but if guests book 2 weeks or more they will be responsible for pump-outs if required. T1 4 berth £58.50 T2 6 berth £72. Fuel Deposit £110 7 nights or £220 14 nights. Stays of longer periods will need to fill up with fuel at their own cost. The boat is handed over ready fuelled but the cost of hire does not include the fuel consumed. A fuel deposit is payable weeks before the start of your holiday. At the end of your holiday period the boat must be refuelled and any difference to the deposit paid will be refunded or charged. The Company may make a fuel surcharge if there is any material increase of diesel or gas prices or duty. It is advisable, for your safety, to watch the Canal & River Trust DVD. Check in outside of normal check in hours/days of 2-5pm in summer and 2-4pm in winter, can only be made by arrangement direct with the marina.
