From the carved mahogany four poster bed you wake to views of Hollins Cross overlooking the garden and trout pond. Charming large bathroom with separate shower. Dressing room with drying cupboard. The 20ft square beamed living room has wonderful 360 degree views, large comfy sofas, one of which opens into a double bed, Sky television, vcr & dvd player, stereo, ipod docking station, payphone and dining area. The oak kitchen is fully equipped with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge with large freezer compartment, eye-level oven and microwave. The whole property is fully centrally heated and there is a 'live-coal' fire. Dogs are most welcome at Taylors' Croft.
Taylors' Croft stands in a delightful country garden with nine acres of grounds bordering the River Noe containing its own trout pond.
Taylors' Croft is located in Edale, in the heart of the Peak District, Derbyshire, close to a network of footpaths, where the Pennine Way starts and offers some of the finest walking in Britain. There is an abundance of wildlife and an owl and otter sanctuary nearby.
Other activities available nearby include tennis, golf, swimming, mountain biking and horse riding. There are many excellent pubs within a few minutes walk or drive. The village shop, Post Office and train station are all within half a mile of Taylors' Croft and you can be collected from the station should you arrive by train.
This property makes an ideal base for visiting Ladybower and Derwent Reservoirs (The Dambusters) or for exploring Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the Roman Spa Town of Buxton (with its famous opera house and festival), Castleton's unique Blue John Caverns and the market town of Bakewell. A car is essential to fully appreciate all this lovely area of Derbyshire has to offer guests.
