Resort overview
Yilu Gangtou Village is a unique hotel that embodies the design concept of Southeast Asian overseas Chinese culture. It offers 20 distinct styled rooms situated within the sacred precinct of Empress Zeng, a 660-year-old Confucian site at the heart of Gangtou Ancient Village. Developed by Renkaiji, the village features the characteristic comb-style layout of Guangfu residential buildings, adorned with wok-ear walls, grey sculptures, and stone carvings, effectively transforming Gangtou Village into an open-air Lingnan architectural museum. The hotel is surrounded by 1,200 acres of natural beauty, comprising mountains, water bodies, forests, and fields. It offers amenities such as rice fields, swimming pools, various dining and banquet facilities, scenic greenways, wooden pathways of varying lengths, earth kitchens, and hands-on field activities such as fruit picking and rural markets.
Guangzhou, also known as the National Central City, is often referred to as the gateway to southern China. With a history spanning over 2,200 years, it is among the first group of Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural Cities recognized by the State Council of China. Guangzhou was the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road in China and a hub of Lingnan Culture. It is also the birthplace of China's modern revolution and a pioneer in China's reform and opening to the outside world. Guangzhou has an intriguing nickname, the City of Rams, and it is also fondly known as the City of Flowers. The city offers numerous recreational opportunities, including attractions like Chianglong Amusement Park and Happy Valley.
