The Serravalle Estate is near the small town of Montelopio situated on the banks of the Era river in a place full of peace and charm where the Knights Templar etsablished a settlement in  1200AD
 
Visitors cannot help but be overwhelmed by the colours, smells and tastes of this special area, peace radiates from the eighteenth-century villa and the surrounding countryside is breathtakingly beautiful.
Serravalle Estate, is situated in a convenient location close to major Tuscan cities: within half an hour from Pisa and the artistic centers of Volterra and San Gimignano. Florence and Sienna are less than hour's drive away. In 20 minutes you can reach the nearest spa: Casciana Terme and 30 minutes drive will take you to the sea on the Etruscan Riviera (Romito, Cecina, Castiglioncello)
The alchemy of colors, smells and tastes make this place nestled in the ancient village of Montelopio Temple and sorrounded by the Valdera hills, a real paradise for tourists visiting Tuscany.
 
The manor house and the annex have been restored with care and passion, creating a refined but comfortable ambience. The rooms, are furnished with local antique furniture with lovely finishing touches. The eighteenth-century rural villa is a place to take things slowly and soak up the atmosphere.
 
The main body of the Serravalle Estate is a charming hunting lodge, fully modernized to offer maximum comfort to its guests. On the inside there are several rooms dedicated to catering, relaxation and leisure activities. The large farmhouse kitchen is always open so that guests can observe all the food preparation that goes into creating the wonderful and traditional Tuscan dishes.The food is lovingly prepared  using only the best of local ingredients most of which are home produced on the estate.

Activities on the Estate
The staff will be glad to advise guests on the best historical, cultural, food & wine and nature loving excusions depending on the season and desires . We are able to offer our guests several activities, both on and outside the Estate such as cooking classes and pruduce tasting (oil, cheese, ham , eggs, truffles, game, wines and so on).
Guests can take advantage of the 400 acres that surround the estate for a relaxing walk in the woods, or for a bike ride between the picturesque poplars, oaks and cypresses. You may encounter local wildlife such as fallow deer, roe deer, hares, buzzards and a variety of other bird life. Simply choose one of the many paths which will lead you to an open space where, upon request, you will be greeted by a table set up for a delightful picnic lunch.
 
The large saltwater swimming pool is open from mid-May until September. It is surrounded by a large solarium with sun beds and sofas.The vineyards are tinged with pink and orange at sunset: perfect time for a last dip in the pool before a cool drink, 

At Serravalle Estate you can taste food, oil and wine produced in a traditional way. We make only organic products without the addition of additives or chemical fertilizers. Our eggs are from free range hens and our meat is all locally sourced.
 
The goal of Paolo, the charismatic owner, is to produce great wines while respecting the uniqueness and the development of the area. This results in the production of high quality grapes coming exclusively from estate vineyards.
