Arguineguín, a small town, was until some years ago little more than a fishing village. Still a working fishing port, Arguineguin has gradually expanded to become a busy tourist resort. Yet, this little town has managed to preserve its original rather pleasant core with several good fish restaurants and some lively fishermen’s bars at the harbour, making a visit worthwhile. Here, the busiest day in the week is Tuesday, when Arguineguin hosts one of the biggest markets of the region.
