Resort overview

Horseshoe Resort, formerly Horseshoe Valley Ski Club, is a southern Ontario ski resort and four-season vacation destination. Located north of Barrie, the resort is about one hour and 15 minutes driving time from Toronto. The resort enjoys a long ski season due to snow making abilities.

Horseshoe Resort offers ideal accommodations with a wide range of fresh, newly updated styles with ideal options for families, couples and groups. Plus, all accommodation styles are in very close proximity to resort amenities and the ski hill.  All accommodations at the resort offer LCD flat-screen TVs, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, and mini-refrigerators. Generous and accommodating, the Horseshoe Room offers two queen size beds or one king size bed, a a pull out sofa and small sitting area. Each room features a glass stand-up shower and hand-held rain slide bar. Horseshoe Rooms can comfortably sleep up to four people. The charming Deluxe Room offers a sunken sitting area with cozy electric fireplaces and well-appointed bathrooms. Two-level Loft Suites overlook the spectacular Valley Golf Course and feature a main floor with a sunken sitting area with fireplace, a two-piece bathroom and a pull-out sofa bed. The spiral staircase leads to your sky-lit bedroom and full bathroom with oversized whirlpool tub. The adjoining Horseshoe Room makes an excellent option for families. 

Access to resort amenities including the gym, sauna, and indoor and outdoor pools make the resort an ideal vacation destination winter, spring, summer and fall. Horseshoe Resort is well known for its charming location and cozy feel. It is nestled between two beautiful and challenging championship golf courses and its outstanding winter sports facilities. 

The resort is situated on 1600 acres of beautiful countryside. From forested vistas to steep ravines and carefully manicured lawns, and just steps away from the majestic Copeland Forest.
