Resort overview
The Murray Valley Resort combines a magnificent sunny climate, great recreational facilities and the luxury of superb home comforts to create a perfect Australian holiday environment (and it's only three hours north of Melbourne). Lake Mulwala is a wonderful fishing spot and has become the epicentre of fun in the sun, with an array of water sports including water-skiing, windsurfing, canoeing, swimming, fishing and even cruising restaurants.
Enjoy the great indoors at Murray Valley Resort, too. The split-level design of each apartment makes it ideal for families, with bedrooms up and down. All apartments are self-contained, with spacious living rooms that open on to complete kitchens. An indoor pool complex offers a heated pool, spa and sauna. Outdoors, enjoy two pools, a large spa and a pool just for small children. There are full- and half-court tennis facilities and game rooms for adults and for children.
It's a big country with lots to see so and do so make sure you bring a car. Several licensed clubs in the area offer golf, bowls, poker machines and fine dining. Yarrawonga boasts the largest golf club in Australia, with a 45-hole championship course to play. Visit wineries and taste some of the fine wines made in the area, or head for the snowfields just a two-hour drive away during winter. Historic homesteads, galleries, scenic flights, bush markets, excellent restaurants and the world-famous Rutherglen Wineries are just a few of the great attractions and unforgettable experiences offered.
