Moorings Phase II
Resort overview
The Moorings is about four and a half hours south of Sydney and two hour's east of Canberra on the beautiful Tomago River at Tomakin. As the name implies, it's exceptionally boat friendly. There's a boat ramp, fifteen Berthing Bays, the Marina has boats available for half-day hire and, if you have your own, there's a daily or weekly mooring hire.
The Moorings takes pride in delivering an uncomplicated old-style Australian waterside holiday. Perhaps that's why it has become a tradition for so many families to return year after year. The two-bedroom units have all your basic comforts covered with the likes of a mini kitchen, featuring a stovetop, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a shower-only bathroom. The resort's laundry and drying area will come in handy too. WiFi is available at a cost of $10 per unit per week.
Try your hand at canoeing on the river, horse riding or a game of tennis. Enjoy a hearty feed and a coldie at the onsite Resort Restaurant and Bar, or stock up on essentials at the nearby general store. Sports and social clubs are also close by.
With so much to see and explore you're going to want to have a car in order to gain maximum enjoyment of your amazing environment and all it has to offer. Water sports, great fishing, bushwalking and golf all await you. Batemans Bay, with its restaurants, modern shopping, and local art and crafts is only 20 minutes away. The Mogo Zoo and Animal Sanctuary are easily reached too.
The Moorings Resort is all about the great Aussie holiday.
