Paihuen
Resort overview
Paihuen Mountain Resort is a vacation resort located only 5 minutes away from San Martín de los Andes, on the 7 Lakes Route, on the way to Chapelco Hill. It has 19 cabins overlooking the lake and 13 apartments with a view of the stone and wood forest. Each unit was designed with the right balance to provide comfort in a rustic environment. Caleuche", its restaurant and clubhouse, is located inside the complex, and it also has a second gastronomic proposal: the most outstanding "Wine Bar" in the region. All this is distributed in 3.6 hectares of an ancient oak forest, with a clear view of Lake Lácar and in the heart of Lanín National Park. Paihuen is permanently adding spaces and services beyond traditional hotels. The proposal seeks to guarantee the well-being of those who decide to enjoy the good life in the middle of the forest. Artistic events, music nights, painting and photography exhibitions, wine and cheese tastings, and special dinners, can all be enjoyed.
San Martín de los Andes is a city in the southwest of the province of Neuquén, nestled in the Andes Mountains, Argentina, on the eastern shore of Lake Lácar. It is the most important tourist town in the province of Neuquén (located about 400 km away).
It is one of the most important tourist spots in Argentina and the Patagonian region. It is accessed by National Route 402 and has the Chapelco airport, 21.6 km from the center.
The city has a particular architecture, since different municipal ordinances regulate the height and facades of buildings. The city's building code seeks to maintain the characteristic architectural style of the region (use of wood and/or stone on the facades). The aim is to preserve the city's architecture in harmony with the surrounding natural environment.
